The installation dinner was a great success as we saw Past President Dan Hussey pass the leadership baton to Incoming President Bob Darnell. The Board is is planning for a busy year. In addition to President Darnell, the Board members are: Claire Barnett, Carm Staker, Jim deVos, Chuck Apap, Pattie Fournier, Carolyn Larson, Kathy McLaughlin, and Dan Hussey. Vice President Kathy poses with Barbara Jorgensen from the Yavapai County Community Health Services. Both are holding scrapbooks made by families that use this service. The photos for these scrapbooks are taken with a camera that was purchase from funds donated by the Bradshaw Mountain Kiwanis Club. This is just another way that the club makes contributions to the local community.
National Night Out - August 2, 2011. Once again, the Club helped the local police and fire departments as we hosted the National Night Out program at Sunflower Park in Prescott Valley. This is the 28th annual National Night Out program. We had visits from the Mayor, City Manager, several police representatives and the fire department arrived after putting out a fire in town. In total, over 150 meals were served to the local community. As always, Buzz and Pattie Fournier were the driving force behind this community event. Both are true stalwarts of the club. Thanks from all the members!
