Each year we provide financial support to the following organizations:

President's Message from Bob Darnell

The 64th annual Kiwanis Auction is behind us and we almost made the goal of $140,000 for the Prescott and Bradshaw Mountain clubs combined.  in total, the businesses of our community donated 281 items for the auction.  We greatly appreciate the 119 donors who were willing to donate items during this trying economic time.

I recently had the honor to attend the Lonesome Valley 4-H Club meeting.  They are a well organized and dedicated group of young people.  they conducted a great busness meeting and mambers talked about the participation and awards they received at a recent livestock fair.  Members from this club received several BEST OF SHOW, BEST OF BREED, and other top awards.  i told them that we were proud to be able to give them the opportunity to participate in the auction fundraising and help them further their agriculture education.  it was with great pride that i gave them a check for $1,305 for their portion of the auction proceeds.

I greatly appreciate the efforts of Buzz and Pattie for hosting the first social evening pot luck.  Coach Apap hosted the second and both of these events were great steps toward adding a more social environment to the club.

it was great to have the same slate of officers step forward and agree to serve in leadership roles for the coming year.  i feel we have made some strides in changing the club in ways to add to the social aspect of the club.  All of us are committed to making 2012 a great year to be a member of the Bradshaw Mountain Kiwanis.

Bob Darnell

PS. We need new members to keep the club healthy.  Please make an effort to bring in a new member.
